A Family Legacy
Mary Ann is not the first person in her family to be committed to helping people live a better life at home. Mary Ann’s mother, Gloria Fuentes, was recognized by Meals on Wheels of Tampa to kick off its “25 Days of Giving” Celebration:
“We are kicking off the celebration by recognizing Ms. Gloria Fuentes, founder of Meals On Wheels of Tampa. Almost 40 years ago, this Tampa resident experienced difficulty when caring for her two home-bound relatives who lived on opposite sides of the city. Recognizing the need to assist not only her family, but also others who wanted to remain independent in the security of their own homes, she formed a committee of pastors and church members throughout Tampa to help organize the effort.”
Gloria blessed every life she touched. She passed away eight years ago this month but her legacy lives on.

I enjoyed reading the story about your Mother. I miss my mother and she had Meals on Wheels in Welcome, North Carolina. Thanks for sharing this to us. Merry Christmas… Raymond has been a great blessing for Vince. Lenda Naimoli
